BECOME A SCS GUIDE
A REAL COMMITMENT AT THE SERVICE OF OCEANS!

Are you passionate about the oceans, marine fauna and stays at sea? Are you rigorous enough to respect a scientific work protocol and do you like to share your knowledge with your teammates? Do you have a sense of responsibility, prefer active holidays ? The Swiss Cetacean Society-SCS and its scientific partners, such as OceanEye, and the Tursiops Association, form SCS Guides to supervise the work of crews on its research platforms at sea.

SCIENTIFIC OR ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIP

The SCS Working Group brings together generous and passionate people, who can network and work in a project mode. A team where autonomous collaborators take responsibility and who do not need a hierarchical structure, to manage environmental projects or contribute to them with dynamism and creativity. The organizers, working group members, guides and SCS captains are all volunteers.

The aim of the internship is to develop the trainee's skills. This will certainly help his / her future professional integration into the job market. But this also provides SCS, a non-profit organization, with a valuable additional workforce.

INTERNSHIP according to cantonal measures for professional re-integration

The SCS Working Group brings together generous and passionate people, who can network and work in a project mode. A team where autonomous collaborators take responsibility and who do not need a hierarchal structure, to manage environmental projects or contribute to them with dynamism and creativity.

The aim of the internship is to develop the trainee's skills. This will certainly help his / her future professional integration into the job market. But this also provides SCS, a non-profit organization, with a valuable additional workforce.

The internship takes place at the SCS office in Lausanne but can, if necessary, take place partially abroad as part of the SCS offshore programs.

The trainee fully participates in SCS's activities, taking on both scientific and administrative responsibilities.

SCS makes every effort to welcome trainees as best as it can possible by informing them about the association, by orienting them towards their activities and by assigning training supervisors.

The internship is not remunerated but, as the case may be, the trainee's travel and meal expenses may be reimbursed.
